The Car   My new car is the Ex Frankie Wainman 2008/9 car that he has used very successfully to win many races and Championships, it has an Ian Whitworth tuned Big block Chevy with over 650 BHP and about the same in Toque so lots of power, it has a 2 speed Doug Nash gearbox and she is about 1400 kilos, so she is a loud fast BEAST. she was just a shale car but I will use her on both surfaces in 2010 with a few mods and adjustments either way.I decided to go for a FWR car because he builds good strong cars that most drivers can get good results in, also I found Frankie Jnr to be a very approachable man who will pass on his knowledge to a complete numpty like me !! and he carries all the spare parts to fit his cars to all races.(that helps) Below is the first time I sat in 515 just after Frankie had won the final at Coventry, She fitted like a glove I new there and then this was the car I had to buy, following a trip up to Silsden in Yorkshire and some good old fashioned Yorkshire haggling Frankie and I had a deal done, remember we are both Yorkshire men so it took a while haha  |
